A night at the end of December in the hills at Mărișel, an hour west of Cluj, photographed almost entirely in the dark. No event, no occasion - a fire lit in the cold, breath hanging in the air, and the warm room waiting on the other side of the glass.

Four frames shot in black and white with a red filter, exposed for the flame so everything outside that light falls away.
